The new images and video come from Salomondrin.net and CrackBerry.com, and they offer a fairly detailed look at what's next in RIM's Pearl smartphone lineup. The BlackBerry Pearl 9100 is the third version of RIM's Pearl, behind the Pearl 81xx and Pearl Flip 82xx , and it has a very similar "candy-bar"-style form-factor to the original 81xx-series. China Unicom, the nation's second largest cell phone carrier, said on Friday it expects nearly 10 percent of the third generation (3G) users in the country to switch to Apple Inc's iPhone in the next couple of years. Tian Wenke, general manager of corporate business department of China Unicom, told China Daily that the smartphone has already evoked good interest from business users. "We expect nearly 10 percent of China's 3G users to buy iPhones," Tian said at an industry forum in Hangzhou.

DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd has introduced its all-in-one DG Smart Plan for BlackBerry smartphone, which includes unlimited BlackBerry data usage starting from RM58 per month. In a statement yesterday, DiGi said its offering was the most affordable and available for all users. The celco said the plan offered customers unlimited data usage, which includes access to e-mail, instant messaging services, social networking and web browsing.

Customers will enjoy greater savings with the plan’s rebate, in which a monthly bill exceeding RM100 and RM200 will be given a 25% discount and 100% discount respectively, off the unlimited BlackBerry data usage fee of RM58 per month   -DiGi

Shares of Dell Inc. fell Nov. 20 after it reported weaker-than-expected revenue and profit for the third quarter as the computer maker missed out on a fledgling rebound in technology spending. After the close of trading Nov. 19, Dell reported a net income of $337 million, or 17 cents per share, compared with $727 million, or 37 cents a share, in the same period a year ago. Excluding one-time items, Dell posted earnings of 23 cents per share.
